Danger!

This idea began with Shawn form One Drop putting three inch long rubber bits into the nut capture of a Project as a joke during prototyping. We called it the Whisker mod, or French tickler. I took those bits and pushed them through the yo-yo, so light would come through, and the nut retention system and the response system could be one and the same.

PICTURES

This is my new Mark Mont.  So far I like it very much and I'll post a proper review at some point or another when I've gotten more of a chance to play with it.

Nice side by side shot with the Project

...and here's a shot with a Project, Mark Mont, and G5++ thrown in to annoy Collin.

Oh no it's my table.

Justin was there for the occasion

Collin was there too.

A bunch of stuff happened in the backyard.  Why we threw so hard that the animals came out to cheer us on.

See, told you so.  That cat was totally into the whole experience.

One Drop Direct

We now have projects available for sale on our website. Markmonts are in production right now to be available as soon as possible.

I don't think I need to say much about this yo-yo. Nickel plated, wider gap, flush mounted ghost pads riding in a full .03" recess. The thing is fantastic and will be finished being plated on Friday. They will make their debut with the man himself at BAC may 10th.

For Too Long

Hey all,
It's been too long since I last saw everybody. School is finished for me, which is nice, but now I have to prepare to enter the real world...

On a yo-yo note, the final signing for the lathe was done last night. It is now on its way. We are working on a few things now, including the markmont and the VRW [set screw] which will make its debut in black. 40 projects went out to yyn this week, 30 more have been made, and there are some scrap parts that we will be conducting tests on [anodizing ourselves].

Our new designs will catch everyone off guard. I will speak to you all personally about them when I see you.

Scott said there may be a meet up on Saturday, I won't be back until sunday or monday, maybe we could make an evening/weekend meet?

Regards,
Colin

Turning the Screws

An adjustable rim weight concept. this yo-yo can be tuned to 62.3 grams to 68.4 grams, depending on the number of set screws installed in the outer rim. I just got it tonight... testing begins.

Project in Review

It's nice that mgodinez compared the finish of the project to the overcast skies of the Great NW. I guess that's one point for the clouds, ash is still at zero (sorry Scott). Steve brown chimed in too, and really wants one of my yo-yos. The pictures are amazing.

pdxyoyo and Doctor Popular

finally, the video.

Magnum Project

This is a video that I posted a while ago. Its purpose was to introduce a new concept to the world of yo-yo tricks. I stumbled upon this move on day while my girlfriend and I were making dinner. It took two weeks of experimentation to replicate the trick, then I posted this video as a proof of concept. Since this video, magnum has been refined... new things to come.

Welcome

This is the beginning of the pdxyoyo blog project, which will allow the group to more effectively share videos, pictures, and ideas in general. I will post a few videos in order to get things going. I will also set the page up so that all members will be given permissions to publish posts on the site. Look around and email me with any questions.

Regards,
Colin
